Social & Therapeutic Horticulture in Practice
SAGE Greenfingers, Sheffield, Yorkshire
Saturday 6th May 10am – 4pm
The programme for the day will start with an introduction to SAGE Greenfingers and how it has evolved. Then will follow a mix of theory and practice including how social and therapeutic horticulture differs from straightforward gardening; a tour of the site to see this borne out in practice in the site design and the activities it offers; practical STH tasks – again demonstrating how these might differ from a conventional approach. The day will have a lot of opportunities for small group conversations and work and a mix of perspectives on how STH works in practice.
The cost of the day will be £50 per member, £60 per non-member. Refreshments and tools will be provided.
