Designing & Planting a Cut Flower Bed
Wednesday 26th April 9.30am – 3.30pm
Your tutor will be Sophie Leathart who has been a freelance florist for the last 30 years, and has gardened all her life.
In the morning there will be an introduction to cut flower gardening - including a brief history. The talk will move onto planning, design and principals involved in establishing a cut flower bed; preparation of the bed; choice and growing of flowers, including successional planting.
The afternoon will include a walk around the garden followed by sowing a small 'cutting garden bed', followed by floral arrangement suggestions. Participants will go away with a tray of sown cut flowers.
The cost of the day is £45 per WFGA member and £55 per non-member
