Rockcliffe is a stunning garden perched high in the Cotswolds and developed by the current owners over the last thirty years. The garden covers eight acres including a sunken garden, herbaceous borders, kitchen garden and dovecote with stunning topiary and lawns. Head Gardener Thomas Unterdorfer will be your tutor, Thomas trained at Kew and has been Head Gardener at Rockcliffe for the last 6 years.
This is the third of three workshops on Propagation - Cuttings
You will be learning how to take cuttings of Pelargonium, Fuchsia, Salvia etc. from Rockcliffe's borders and greenhouses, discussing the best compost to put them in, the best techniques for potting them up and how best to care for them over the Autumn and Winter months.
Thomas will also be giving a guided tour of the gardens at Rockcliffe, which featured in Gardens Illustrated in May this year.
The cost of this workshop is £45 per WFGA member and £55 per non-member. Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch, gloves, secateurs and suitable clothing.
