Park Cottage is a garden full of surprises, developed by its owner Jo Shepherd and husband Julian over the past 30 years. A visit is a journey through colour, themes, shape and size. There is a jungle, colour themed borders, hidden corners and some Alice in Wonderland moments. The garden is a result of years of implementing creative ideas and Jo wants to share the process and inspiration.
This workshop will give you the space, stimulation, and some tools to help you work out exactly what you want from your garden, and then how to achieve it. Do you want a wow factor, fun for children, a wildlife refuge, space for quiet reflection …. Have you thought about the effect of sunlight, shade, different seasons?
Jo and Jacqui will help you think through and discuss priorities using Park Cottage Garden to help you identify themes, as well as easy ways to find inspiration. There will also time to then work out what types of plants will meet your needs and how to get going.
Please bring a packed lunch. Tea/coffee and cake provided.
You will also need a pen/pencil and paper
