The Kitchen garden at the Heart of BS13, is a social enterprise , growing vegetables and fruit in a no-dig garden. The produce is used by its kitchen to make free, healthy meals for the community, local veg boxes, and to support the local community. The day will start with a tour of the garden, the polytunnels, growing areas, orchard and the closed loop compost system.
We will then get on with the tasks for that day which will include a variety of tasks like seed sowing, pricking out, planting out and the inevitable weeding.
This is an opportunity to experience a working community kitchen garden in the south of the city.
The cost of this practical skills day is £30. Please bring a packed lunch, and your own drinks. Please bring your own gloves, tools will be provided.
