Cambridgeshire – Christmas Wreath Making Workshop

Come and create a Wild Wintery Christmas Wreath for your door!

Originally from Germany, Sabine Ehlers is a professional florist always intrigued by nature’s wonders and wild beautiful treasures. Her style is natural and wild and inspired by the changing seasons. To further her knowledge of plants and horticulture, she is currently re-training to become a gardener under the WRAGs scheme at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge.

During the workshop you will be learning how to create your own Christmas wreath from scratch. There will be many varieties of foliage, dried seedpods, cones, and berries to chose from. All other materials such as wires, ribbons, bells and scissors will be provided as well.

We will discuss the different materials available to use, as well as talking about colour combinations and different ideas and styles of arranging your wreath. This will be followed by a step-by-step demonstration, after which you will have the opportunity to create your own Christmas wreath.

Members can bring their own packed lunch to eat while Sabine sets up the workshop between 12.30pm-1pm or highly recommended is The Stove Cafe adjacent to the Malthouse, serving brunches, lunches and homemade cakes.

The cost to WFGA members is £50 and to non-members £60.  The cost includes all materials, tea, coffee and a mince pie to round off your festive creative afternoon.
