About the Venue:
New Leaf is a part of the Devon Partnership NHS Trust’s Vocational Rehabilitation Service, which supports adults with mental health issues in their recovery, and helps them work towards finding employment.
New Leaf’s idyllic 35-acre site overlooking the Exe estuary, offers part time placements in a range of work environments including a commercial plant nursery department. Service users are given opportunities to learn and develop essential horticultural skills in a supportive environment. There is also a small allotment, cut flower garden, and apple orchard.
About the Tutor:
Hannah Blunt is a floral artist, teacher, and mental health support worker who is an advocate for the beauty, joy and healing power of nature. She qualified with a Diploma in Floristry at Bicton College in 2017 and has since run her own home floristry business called ‘Friday Flowers’ offering workshops, event floristry, and pop-ups. She also has an RHS Level 2 qualification in Plant Growth and Development to support her work at New Leaf, and as a home gardener.
About the Workshop:
Come along for a relaxing morning and learn how to create your own stunning Christmas wreath using natural materials from the garden. This Workshop will be led by Hannah, who will be sharing practical skills you’ll be able to use year after year. Your wreath base and all green materials are included. If you have a specific type of decoration or foliage you wish to incorporate, you are welcome to bring it along.

10am – 12.30pm
Food/Drink:
Tea, coffee and a mince pie are included.
Special Instructions:
Attendees are welcome to bring in any additional decorations they might wish to use on their wreath.
