About the Venue:
Limekiln Farm has been developed since garden owner, Joan Hester, retired 11 years ago, with new planting every year. It’s a peaceful location with a charm of antiquity that still persists.
About the Garden Owner:
Joan is a retired anaesthetist who developed an interest in substances from plants that are used in medicine today.
About the Visit:
There are many poisons in plants that in small amounts can also be therapeutic. Joan’s talk will cover many interesting anecdotes about the discovery of these substances, and there are many more yet to discover.

10.00am – 1.00pm

Tea, coffee and cake will be provided.
Special Instructions:
Please bring a pen and notepad if you’d like to take notes.
Please wear weather appropriate footwear and clothing for walking around the garden.
Costs:
Members £25 | Non-members £30
An e-ticket will be emailed to the address that you booked your place with, and a copy can be found in the ‘Tickets’ section of your Working for Gardeners account.
Booking Cancellations:
Cancellations received 15+ days out from an event date will qualify for a 50% refund.
Cancellations received 14 or less days out from an event date do not qualify for a refund.
