Description
About the Venue:
Hever Castle is the childhood home of Anne Boleyn; a moated castle set in 30 acres of formal and natural landscape. There is topiary, a herb garden, Italian gardens, a lake and a walled garden with more than 300 roses.
About the Practical Skills Day:
The aim of the day is a major redevelopment of the long herbaceous borders at Hever Castle. Plants will be dug up, divided, thinned out and repositioned.
Attendees will have the opportunity to take some of the plants home after the clumps have been thinned out.
Training will be from members of the gardening team.
Timings:
9.30am – 3.00pm
Refreshments:
Tea and coffee will be provided. The cafés will be open, but you can also bring a packed lunch.
Please Bring:
Sharp secateurs, suitable footwear, hand sanitiser and clothing for the weather.
