The plan for the day is a talk to the group about the kitchen garden, its history, design and maintenance. You will do some soil preparation, discuss ‘no dig’ gardening, and direct sow some seeds. You will also plant out some plugs, and do a bit of weeding and possibly harvesting asparagus or rhubarb. There will also be a question and answer session.
The cost of this practical skills day is £30 to include refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch, and your own drinks. A trowel and small fork will also be needed. A mask and hand sanitiser should also be brought with you in case required.
