Described as one of North Wales best kept secrets is the hidden world of Plas Cadnant Gardens, situated at the side of the Menai Strait on the Isle of Anglesey. Former owners of Plas Cadnant were related to the Tremayne family of Heligan House, now famous for its Lost Gardens.

A new garden is being created on an historic site, becoming a plantsman’s paradise.
Extending to nearly ten acres, the garden has three distinct areas: The large ‘Walled Garden’, The ‘Valley Garden’ with its waterfalls and The ‘Upper Woodland. The Walled Garden is largely ornamental with topiary, a lake and a large herbaceous border. The staking will take place within the borders and the small kitchen garden area.

We will begin with a tour of the gardens, followed by a short indoor session on the theory of natural staking – materials used etc. After coffee break we will go out into the Walled Garden for demonstrations and practical work creating staking for beans, sweet peas and herbaceous plants.

The cost of this PSD is £30. Tea/Coffee will be provided, but please bring a packed lunch.  Please bring; Secateurs, gloves, and suitable clothing.
