About the Workshop:
This highly informative Workshop will be hosted on Zoom and start by looking at the history, purpose and theory behind plant classification. Next, Timothy will focus on the main groups of land plants and their life cycles. He will conclude by looking at some of the major families of flowering plants and how they can be identified quickly. A handout of all the slides will be emailed out as a PDF file.
The subjects covered during this Workshop are highly relevant to those planning to take RHS 2 or 3.
About the Tutor:
Your Tutor for the day is Timothy Walker – lecturer in Plant Sciences at Somerville College Oxford, botanist, gardener, author and was Horti Praefectus and Director of the Oxford Botanic Garden. Timothy is a fantastic Tutor and we have received a great deal of enthusiast feedback about his Workshops.

This event is limited to small numbers at the speaker’s request to enable them to more effectively engage with attendees.

- You will need a suitable PC/Laptop/Mac with a camera, and will need to download the free Zoom App from their website.
- This online talk will not be recorded.

- Standard Cancellation Policy (copy available here): A 50% refund is applicable for event ticket cancellations up to and including 15 days before an event. If you cancel your attendance on an event within 14 days, no refund will be given.
