Charles Dowding has spent over 3 decades learning and developing a no-dig method of organic vegetable growing, has written 7 books on the subject and runs regular courses, so, if you want to be able to produce an abundance of amazing veg without having to lift a spade, this is the workshop for you.
Charles will start the day introducing his various methods, including no-dig, soil feeding and compost use. You will then go outside where Charles will demonstrate how best to hoe out weed seedlings and maintain pathways. He will also show and discuss his dig / no-dig experiments where you can compare differences, as well as look at propagation, hotbeds and raising seedlings of all kinds. You will also be taken through a range of other seasonal tasks, such as changeover of crops in the polytunnel and picking asparagus.
The cost for the workshop is £75 for members and £85 for non-members. Please bring a packed lunch. Refreshments will be provided.
