Parham is one of the country’s finest Elizabethan Houses, The spectacular gardens consist of beautiful Pleasure Grounds and a four-acre Walled Garden. There are stunning herbaceous borders, a glasshouse, vegetable garden, orchard and a 1920s Wendy House.

Tom Brown, Head Gardener, will lead the day. This Practical Skills Day will cover the summer pruning of espaliered apples, pears and plums to help ripen the developing fruits and ensure a good crop the following year.    There will be instruction/a talk on summer pruning of espaliers. Then the opportunity to help prune the espaliers. Please note that this is a physical day using secateurs and possibly step ladders.

The cost of this Skills Day is £25.  Refreshments are included but please bring a packed lunch.  You will also need secateurs, safety boots, gloves and wet weather gear.
