Dunsborough Park is a stunning country estate situated in Ripley, just thirty minutes outside London. A beautiful home set amongst 100 acres of landscaped gardens. The gardens extend over six acres and were designed by Penelope Hobhouse and Rupert Golby. It includes a a box parterre which is a showcase for tulips and Dahlias, fruit trees, water garden with folly bridge and large herbaceous borders.
Arrive for a 10 am to start pruning the many fruit trees in the historical gardens at Dunsborough Park, with a group of other horticultural students. Attendees will be guided in the correct technique to prepare the trees for a year of fruiting. Trees include apple, figs, quince and crab apples.
You are welcome to arrive from 09:30. Please bring your own packed lunch and hot drink. Please bring sharp secateurs, suitable footwear and weather appropriate clothing (The garden is sheltered and can get hot). Please bring hand sanitiser and a mask.
