Description
About the Venue:
Malcolm and Ros have created their beautiful 2-acre garden from a field over the last 20 years. It has a wealth of unusual trees and shrubs, as well as deep herbaceous borders, a dry stream garden, rose and clematis walk, and two large wildlife ponds.
About the Tutor:
Malcolm has developed an extensive knowledge of different types of Dahlia over many years and has successfully propagated most of the varieties in his own garden. He is also an experienced lecturer.
About the Practical Skills Day:
Malcolm will talk about the different groups of Dahlia, and the pros and cons of growing from tubers and from cuttings. He will demonstrate the best way to take cuttings and how to look after them. Participants will obtain hands-on experience with the opportunity to take home some cuttings.

9.30am – 1.30pm

Tea, coffee and cake will be provided.
Please Bring:
Secateurs, gloves, sharp knife or scalpel if available (but some will be provided). Weather appropriate clothing and suitable footwear (waterproofs if necessary).
