Warwickshire – Growing & Propagating Salvias Workshop

£10.00£15.00

Description

Malcolm and Ros have created their beautiful 2-acre garden from a field over the last 25 years. It has a wealth of unusual trees and shrubs, as well as deep herbaceous borders, a dry stream garden, rose and clematis walk, and two large wildlife ponds.

The Genus Salvia comprises a very large family of almost 1000 species, many of which provide long-lasting and useful colour and interest in both small and large gardens. During this Workshop Malcolm will explain the different types of Salvia and their respective growing requirements, as well as demonstrating the best ways to propagate them. We will then have a tour of  the garden identifying different Salvias, and take some cuttings (some of which you may take home with you). Barn Cottage also has a large collection of Dahlias, which should be looking good at this time.

Malcolm has developed an extensive knowledge of different types of Salvia over many years, and has successfully propagated most of the varieties in his own garden. He is also an experienced lecturer.
