Anne Hathaway’s Cottage has grounds extending to 10acres, comprising a cottage garden designed by Ellen Wilmott, plus Sculpture garden, Orchard with Heirloom varieties of apples, arboretum containing trees mentioned in Shakespeare’s plays etc

Your tutor will be Annamaria Vass who is Country Gardens Team Leader at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Gardens.  She obtained her BSc in Horticulture in Hungary,  and has worked at the Birthplace Trust Gardens since 2014.

The day will start with a coffee and introduction to Live Willow Weaving followed by a talk and demonstration.  You will then get hands on helping in the maintenance and creation of structures for the garden.

The cost of this practical skills day is £25 to include refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch, secateurs, gloves and wet weather gear.  Strong boots or shoes are advisable and if you have eye protection googles please bring them (Otherwise they can be provided).
