Award-winning coastal garden takes you on a journey through garden styles from around the world. Visit the Mediterranean, France, Holland, New Zealand and Japan. Enjoy tree ferns, topiary, shady area, secret woodland parlour, potager, containers, unusual shrubs and plants, silver birch walk, herbaceous borders, art, crafts, wildlife, seaside garden, blue and white area.
There is a circular walk along a coastal footpath nearby (perfect for after the workshop!)
Ann Moss is a very experienced garden owner and has trained 5 gardeners for the WFGA under our WRAG scheme. She is an advocate of gardening as therapy and keen on art and craft in the garden. Ann is also an assistant county organizer for the NGS in West Sussex.
Arrive at 10am for tea & coffee, followed by a tour of the garden. There will be a short talk on the history of topiary and the types of plants suitable for topiary, practical demonstration followed by a chance to try shaping and make a simple piece of topiary.
The cost of this workshop is £40 per member, £50 per non-member which includes refreshments. Please bring a packed lunch, wet weather gear – just in case, secateurs, sharp scissors and gloves.
