Lanarkshire – Behind the Scenes Tour at McLaren’s Nursery

£10.00£15.00

Description

Established in 1973, McLaren’s Nurseries is a Scottish-based wholesale and retail supplier and grower of plants. Started by Robert and Ruth McLaren and still proudly family run, the Nursery has grown over time from 2.5 acres to its current 50 acre site, 15 of which are under glass or poly-tunnel.

Join us on a behind the scenes tour of McLaren’s Nursery where we will be shown their process from compost through propagation to sale. This visit offers a chance learn the ways in which plants are nurtured for the Scottish climate by one of the country’s largest and longest-established commercial growers. Family-run for over fifty years, McLaren’s has expanded over time and in response to demand from consumers; we will gain insight into how a nursery is run on such a large scale, providing a huge client-base with a wide array of plants. We will have a chance to network, ask questions, and to enjoy the range of plants available.
