Description
Sarsden Glebe is 3 acre garden just into the Cotswolds. It is surrounded by parkland laid out by Humphrey Repton and his son, George. The garden comprises of formal terraces around the house, a wild garden with ancient oak trees and a large kitchen garden.
Over the past 6 years+ Sarsden Glebe garden owners Rupert and Amanda have worked hard to keep the box hedges healthy and free from blight, and box moth.
This Practical Skills Day will consist of a walk and talk on how to renovate box that has suffered box blight damage including examples of hedges and plants renovated in previous years. This will be followed by a ‘hands-on’ workshop to work on reducing over-large plants. Finally, you will be guided on how to maintain their good health. During this Practical Skills Day you will learn how the hedges at Sarsden Glebe are treated throughout the year for best health, how and when it is best to clip and, if a plant is infected, how to restore it.
